Pakistani delegation arrives in Paris to participate in FATF meeting


PARIS: A ten-member delegation headed by caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar has arrived in Paris to represent Pakistan in the ongoing meeting of Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
During the meeting of FATF, Shamshad Akhtar will apprise the attendants regarding Pakistan’s stance over the matter of grey-list.
She will brief the meeting over Pakistan’s measures taken against money laundering, terror financing and actions against terrorists’ outfits.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has said that laws regarding terror financing have been improved and besides implementation of these laws.
A meeting of the FATF is underway in Paris pondering upon whether to put Pakistan on its grey-list or not.
Let it be known that FATF in February had given three-month time to Pakistan to take across the board action against terror outfits.
