DUBAI: Pakistani police officer Anum Khan Muhammad Sher has brought global recognition to her country. She won the prestigious Excellence in Criminal Investigation award at the 2025 World Police Summit Awards held in Dubai.
Anum Khan serves at Sargodha City Police Station in Punjab. Her outstanding work in solving complex murder cases earned her this international honour. The award highlights not only her sharp investigative skills but also her leadership and dedication to justice.
The World Police Summit Awards ceremony was hosted by Dubai Police. It drew top police officials and security experts from more than 90 countries. In this global gathering, Anum Khan stood out among over 900 entries from around the world.
She was honoured for leading two major murder investigations in Punjab. The first involved a 12-year-old domestic worker, Ayesha Bibi, who was found murdered. Anum Khan led the probe and ensured the suspects were caught within 72 hours. The swift action was praised by the public and appreciated by senior officials, including the Chief Minister of Punjab.
In another high-profile case, she directed the investigation into the murder of a young man named Mohsin. Her team arrested the culprits within 24 hours. These cases proved her strong grasp of criminal procedures and her commitment to delivering timely justice. Earlier, the Punjab Police had officially commended her for these achievements.
The award for Excellence in Criminal Investigation is one of the highest global honours in policing. It is organised under the patronage of the UAE government. The summit celebrates professionals who set new standards in law enforcement.
