The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the PSL 2025 schedule, revealing the much-awaited details of the tournament’s tenth edition. The event will kick off on April 11, with the grand finale set for May 18. Before the tournament begins, an exhibition match will take place in Peshawar on April 8. However, the teams for this match are yet to be confirmed.
Matches will be played in four major cities: Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 games, while Karachi’s National Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each stage five matches. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will witness 13 thrilling encounters.
The opening match of the PSL 2025 schedule will feature defending champions Islamabad United against Lahore Qalandars. This high-stakes clash will take place in Rawalpindi on April 11. The next day, Peshawar Zalmi will go head-to-head with Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi, while Karachi Kings will face Multan Sultans in Karachi. The tournament will also feature three double-header days on April 12, May 1, and May 10.
May 1 will see Multan Sultans battling Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars taking on Quetta Gladiators. On May 10, Multan Sultans will face Quetta Gladiators, while Islamabad United will go up against Karachi Kings. This will mark the last day of the group stage.
The playoffs will begin on May 13 in Rawalpindi, with the top two teams competing in the Qualifier. The first Eliminator will be held in Lahore on May 14, where the third and fourth-placed teams will clash for a chance to stay in the competition. The winner will then face the loser of the Qualifier in Eliminator 2 on May 16. The grand finale will be played in Lahore on May 18, determining the ultimate champion of PSL 2025.
Salman Naseer, Chief Executive Officer of PSL, expressed his excitement for the tournament. He emphasized the league’s global recognition and its role in showcasing Pakistan’s finest cricketing talent. He also highlighted that fans will witness 34 electrifying matches across four major cities.
Naseer announced the inclusion of an exhibition match in Peshawar, calling it a crucial step toward expanding PSL’s reach. “We are thrilled to bring high-profile cricket to Peshawar, a city with a passionate fan base,” he said. He reassured fans, players, and stakeholders that the league remains committed to delivering thrilling contests.
