The Pakistan Cricket Board has fined Naseem Shah Rs20 million. The action was taken after a controversial tweet.
Earlier, the PCB issued a show-cause notice on March 27, 2026. It asked the fast bowler to explain the alleged violation of his central contract.
Later, a three-member disciplinary committee reviewed his response on March 30. The committee also considered his unconditional apology.
However, it found that he had violated multiple clauses of the contract. Therefore, the PCB imposed a fine of Rs20 million.
Meanwhile, Naseem Shah has removed his social media advisor. In addition, the PCB will blacklist the advisor. This means the advisor will not be allowed to work with any PCB-contracted player in the future.
The PCB said it remains committed to maintaining professionalism and discipline in the game.
