LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled new cricket development initiatives, as announced on Tuesday.
Muhammad Hafeez, in his capacity as cricket director, expressed his satisfaction in introducing these programs, emphasizing the need to revitalize all cricket academies for the sport’s improvement.
Hafeez revealed plans to revive sub-academies in Karachi, Peshawar, and Multan, with the intention of establishing similar facilities in six to seven cities through collaboration with private entities.
Highlighting future considerations, the cricket director stated that the PCB is exploring the possibility of setting up sub-academies in FATA and interior Sindh, accompanied by specialized training programs for players.
Moreover, Muhammad Hafeez outlined the introduction of financial assistance and skills development programs tailored for U-19 cricketers, aiming to groom them for international competition.
