A grand Peace Jirga took place in Bannu, organized by madrassa leaders and religious scholars. The event was supported by the Pakistan Army.
Religious leaders from Bannu expressed their complete backing for the Pakistan Army. They vowed to work for peace and the removal of Fitnah-ul-Khwarij. Participants honored the sacrifices made by the armed forces, especially the martyrs. They assured full cooperation with the authorities to counter Fitnah-ul-Khwarij and other harmful elements.
Major General Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, the General Officer Commanding Kohat, graced the Peace Jirga as the chief guest. The scholars praised the Pakistan Army for its initiatives in the region. They highlighted its contributions to education and healthcare, particularly in promoting girls’ education.
