SWABI/MARDAN: The residents of Swabi and Mardan Friday came on roads against federal and provincial government over their failure to control inflation and reduce flour prices.
The residents Takhtbhai Mardan staged a protest demonstration against gas and electricity loadshedding, high prices of flour and other food items. The protesters raised slogans against the federal and provincial governments. The speakers said that the government has stopped wheats supply to the province. They said that the people have to wait in queue for hours to get one bag of subsidized flour. They alleged that the subsidized flour is being distributed on the basis of political affiliation.
Similarly, the resident of Tordher, Swabi, also staged protest demonstration against shortage of flour and inflation. The protesters said that the people are suffering due to failed policies and political fight between the federal and provincial governments. They raised slogans against the federal and provincial governments. They said that the provincial government was responsible for high prices the province.
