In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citizens have rallied together against extremism, expressing strong support for the recent ban on the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM). Many residents believe that action against PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen was long overdue, stating that individuals who foster disunity among Pakistan’s diverse communities should be banned.
Citizens also highlighted that Pashteen appears to receive support from Afghanistan, citing the presence of Afghan flags at his rallies. They called on Afghanistan to refrain from creating instability within Pakistan, urging those who wish to raise the Afghan flag to relocate there instead.
The public stressed the need for unity between Pashtuns and Punjabis, emphasizing that they are interconnected communities. They condemned the PTM as an Afghan-influenced party seeking to sow discord and hatred among Pakistanis. The people appealed to the youth to distance themselves from those attempting to ignite ethnic tensions and disrupt peace.
