The Peshawar Corps Commander Speech focused on the long struggle for peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the role of security forces in restoring stability. Addressing an expo event, the corps commander said the province has faced a war-like situation for over two decades.
He said people in KP sleep peacefully because of the sacrifices made by security forces. According to him, hostile elements do not want peace in the region and continue to create unrest.
During the Peshawar Corps Commander Speech, he praised the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their hospitality and bravery. He added that security forces have given a strong response to terrorists and defeated them in several operations.
He also spoke about the pain of losing lives in the fight against terrorism. Meeting the families of martyrs, he said, is always emotional and reminds him of the heavy price paid for peace. He made it clear that soldiers do not fight for money but for the country.
The corps commander said he feels proud to lead forces in KP. He highlighted that despite major sacrifices, challenges still exist, especially along the western borders. He pointed out that Afghan soil is being used against Pakistan, which remains a serious concern.
He concluded by saying that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has great potential and deserves development and prosperity alongside lasting peace.
