PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court, led by Justice Abdul Shakoor and Justice Syed Arshad Ali, recently finalized its decision on the MDCAT test after a period of deliberation. Upholding the provincial government’s resolution, the court has endorsed the retaking of the MDCAT test within a span of six weeks.
The court’s decision was influenced by the findings of the GIT report, which uncovered substantial evidence of widespread use of electronic devices and a considerable number of students resorting to unfair means during the initial examination.
Emphasizing the autonomy of the provincial government’s cabinet in making decisions, the court asserted that interference post-cabinet resolution is inappropriate.
Citing the provincial government’s initial decision as the basis for its ruling, the court maintained the validity of the resolution and mandated the re-administration of the MDCAT test within the stipulated six-week timeframe.
Furthermore, the court disclosed that it has deferred judgment on seventy related cases associated with the MDCAT test.
