A devastating house fire in the Tehkal Payan area of Peshawar has claimed the lives of six members of a single family, according to rescue officials. The victims include a husband, his wife, and their four young children.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene as soon as the blaze was reported and worked quickly to bring the fire under control. During the search operation that followed, officials recovered the bodies of all six victims from one room of the house.
Victims Identified
Authorities have confirmed the identities of those who lost their lives in the Peshawar house fire:
- Siraj, 55
- His wife, 40
- Harira, 11
- Hanaya, 9
- Hasnain, 4
- Manhal, 3
All six were in the same room when the fire broke out, and officials say the cause of death was a combination of intense heat and smoke inhalation.
How the Fire Started
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 explained that the fire originated in the hall section of the home, where furniture, foam, and other household items were stored. These materials caught fire rapidly, allowing the flames to spread before help could arrive.
The spokesperson added that the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an investigation is currently underway to establish what triggered it.
Rescue Teams Respond, But Damage Already Done
Rescue 1122 officials confirmed that their teams managed to fully extinguish the fire after reaching the location. However, the heavy smoke and extreme heat that had built up inside the room proved fatal before the family could be reached in time.
The Peshawar house fire has left the local community in mourning, as investigators continue working to determine what caused the tragedy and whether it could have been prevented.
