PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar has officially declared the commencement of winter vacations, bringing relief to students and faculty members alike.
As per the official statement from the university administration, the academic institution will remain closed for winter holidays from December 23 to December 30.
This announcement also applies to colleges and schools affiliated with Jamia Peshawar, providing students in these educational institutions a break from their academic routines during the period from December 23 to December 30.
The Education Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued a recent directive, announcing winter vacations for government schools in the region.
According to the directive, schools in the plains will be closed from December 23 to 31. Additionally, educational institutions in the winter zone will have an extended closure, spanning from December 23 to February 29.
Moreover, schools situated in the cold mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will enjoy an extensive two and a half months of winter vacation. Given the severe winter conditions in the mountainous regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where temperatures drop below freezing point from December to February, this decision is aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of students during the harsh winter season.
