Peshawar: Peshawar High Court on Monday issued notices to all parties on a plea that challenged the recent census of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A court hearing concerning the plea against the decrease in population in the census was heard at Peshawar High Court. The lawyer in his plea, said that the population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was counted less in the digital census, Showing less population in a census will drag Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into more issues, and will impact by reducing the developmental funds and other benefits as well, he said the presence of the interim chief minister in the council of common interest was unconstitutional.
Further, the lawyer requested the court that the election be contested on previous delimitations, also the census should be conducted again in those districts where annual growth was shown less than 2.55 in the census.
The court issues notice to all the parties and summons an answer on the next hearing.
