LAHORE: Despite Pakistan International Airline (PIA) making a Rs70 million payment to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Tuesday, the restoration of fuel supply remained elusive. Consequently, over 49 flights were canceled today (Wednesday).
Media reports indicate cancellations including flights PK302, PK303, PK304, PK305 to Lahore, PK340 and PK341 to Faisalabad, PK368 and PK369 to Islamabad, PK503 and PK504 for Gwadar, and PK330 and PK331 for Multan.
Flights like PK181 and PK182 from Islamabad to Sharjah, PK233 and PK234 to Dubai, PK601, PK602, PK605, and PK606 to Gilgit, as well as PK753 and PK754 to Riyadh, were also affected.
Additionally, cancellations include PK451 and PK452 to Skardu, PK631 and PK632 to Sukkur, PK211 and PK234, PK261 and PK262 to Abu Dhabi, and Islamabad to Dammam flight PK246.
Further disruptions involve Lahore to Dubai flights PK235, PK203, PK204, Jeddah PK759, and Abu Dhabi to Lahore PK264. Canceled flights also include PK209 and PK210 from Sialkot to Sharjah, PK281 and PK282 to Muscat, and PK180 from Dubai to Sialkot.
The list continues with PK283 and PK284 from Peshawar to Dubai, PK257 and PK258 from Sharjah, and PK218 from Abu Dhabi. Dubai to Faisalabad flight PK224, Multan to Sharjah PK293, and Dubai to Multan PK222 have also been canceled.
