During a historic address at the joint summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar emphasized the critical necessity of establishing a separate Palestinian state as the sole resolution to the long-standing conflict.
Reflecting on a 70-year-old United Nations resolution aimed at addressing the Palestinian issue, the interim Prime Minister denounced the ongoing tragedy in Gaza, urging an immediate cessation of atrocities to prevent further escalation of conflicts.
Kakar strongly criticized Israeli actions in Gaza, pointing out that even hospitals, schools, and UN offices are not spared from the relentless bombardment. He stressed the imperative to take decisive action and find a sustainable solution to the crisis.
In a swift response to support those affected, Pakistan dispatched two planes loaded with humanitarian aid to Gaza. Expressing deep concern over the devastating impact of Israel’s actions, Kakar highlighted the extensive destruction and displacement of innocent Palestinians due to the inhumane siege.
He condemned the consistent violation of international humanitarian laws and human rights by Israeli forces in Palestine, categorizing these actions as severe war crimes and a violation of humanity.
The interim PM called upon the international community to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes and demanded an immediate, unconditional ceasefire. He underscored the urgent need to lift the siege on Gaza and ensure uninterrupted aid reaches the distressed people of the region.
