PM Shehbaz, Croatian FM Agree to Boost Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Croatian Foreign Minister have agreed to strengthen Pakistan-Croatia bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, agriculture, tourism and other key sectors.

The agreement came during a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch were also present.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Croatian Foreign Minister and his delegation to Pakistan. He said relations between Pakistan and Croatia are based on mutual respect, goodwill and shared interests.

The prime minister expressed Pakistan’s desire to further expand bilateral cooperation in several areas, including trade and investment, information technology, connectivity, agriculture, tourism and skilled workforce development.

PM Shehbaz also conveyed his best wishes to Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. He extended a warm invitation to both leaders to visit Pakistan on an official trip.

The Croatian Foreign Minister thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and said it was an honour to visit Islamabad.

He also praised Pakistan and its leadership for their role in promoting regional peace. The Croatian Foreign Minister expressed his government’s desire to further strengthen Pakistan-Croatia relations in all areas of mutual interest.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral ties and exploring new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
