PM Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute on Police Martyrs’ Day to Pakistan’s Brave Law Enforcers

On the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s police force. He praised their tireless service in maintaining law and order across the country.

“These law enforcers stand guard in every corner, braving all weather, away from families, to protect us,” the prime minister said in his message. “Their sacrifices ensure peace and security for our people.”

He saluted the families of the fallen officers, calling them the real heroes behind the uniform. “We also honor those families who gave up their future for the future of this nation,” he added.

The prime minister highlighted that over 8,000 brave police heroes have laid down their lives in the fight against terrorism. “They saved millions of children from becoming orphans while their own children became parentless,” he noted.

He also remembered the recent tragedy in Rahim Yar Khan, where five Elite Force men were martyred in an operation against dangerous bandits. “These martyred cops are our pride,” he said with deep emotion.

PM Shehbaz appreciated the global recognition of Pakistan’s police. “The awards and medals won at the World Police Summit 2025 speak volumes about their skills,” he remarked.

He expressed satisfaction over the adoption of modern policing tools. “Technology has made public safety more effective and crime prevention more successful,” he said.

The prime minister said Police Martyrs’ Day reminds us of the key role the police played in building counterterrorism units across all provinces. He acknowledged their cooperation with the Pakistan Army and Rangers during operations, emergencies, and natural disasters.

“These efforts have changed how citizens view the police. Their performance has improved significantly,” he observed.

He further said the police conducted hundreds of operations over the past years to disrupt terrorist plots. “They stopped enemies from spreading fear and chaos,” he said.

From the deep waters of Gwadar to the snowy peaks of Gilgit-Baltistan, the prime minister said every uniformed police officer is a source of national pride.

Police Martyrs’ Day is not just a day of remembrance. It is a reminder of our unshakable respect for every fallen soul,” PM Shehbaz concluded.
