Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday underscored the strength of Pakistan Saudi Arabia relations, praising the Kingdom’s consistent support and generous assistance to Pakistan over the years, along with its influential role in fostering regional peace and stability.
The prime minister’s remarks came during a farewell meeting at the PM House with Saudi Arabia’s outgoing ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, who called on him following the conclusion of his official posting in the country.
Shehbaz Sharif Lauds Outgoing Saudi Envoy
Sharif congratulated Al-Malki on successfully completing his diplomatic assignment, commending the ambassador’s efforts in deepening the historic and strategic bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He noted that the envoy’s tenure had played a meaningful role in reinforcing the fraternal relationship shared by the two nations.
The prime minister also extended his warm wishes for the continued health and well-being of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In response, Ambassador Al-Malki expressed heartfelt appreciation to the prime minister and the Government of Pakistan for the cooperation, hospitality, and warmth shown to him throughout his time in the country. He described his posting in Pakistan as a rewarding and memorable chapter in his diplomatic career.
Al-Malki reaffirmed his personal dedication to furthering the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, even as his official assignment draws to a close. The strength of Pakistan Saudi Arabia relations, he noted, would remain a priority for him going forward.
The meeting concluded with Prime Minister Sharif wishing the ambassador continued success in his future professional endeavors, reflecting the cordial tone that has long defined engagements between the two allied nations.
