ISLAMABAD: Following a spell of hot weather, various parts of the country have experienced relief due to rainfall, gusty winds, and storms on Thursday.
Today in Karachi, the weather is windy and partly cloudy. In Lahore, last night’s rainfall accompanied by a windstorm brought down the temperature, making the weather more pleasant.
Islamabad and other districts also benefited from rainfall and gusty winds, leading to a significant drop in temperatures after enduring a scorching heat spell. Similarly, showers in Abbottabad, Nathiagali, Ayubia, and Thandiani have turned the weather more enjoyable.
Peshawar and its outskirts experienced light rainfall with strong winds, resulting in a decrease in temperature and providing relief from the prolonged hot weather. Rainfall was also reported in Mansehra, Malakand, Buner, Lower Dir, and Battagram districts.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had forecasted rainfall in the country from June 4 to 8. Rainfall with wind and thunderstorms is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until June 8.
In Punjab and the federal capital Islamabad, dust storms and thunderstorms with rain are expected until June 6. In Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Multan, and Layyah, isolated rain is anticipated until June 7.
In Balochistan, dust storms and thunderstorms with isolated rain are expected from June 5 to June 7. In Sindh, dust storms and gusty winds with isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, and Larkana districts on June 6 and June 7.
