LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb Wednesday said the party membership of Rana Mashhood has been suspended due to his controversial statement regarding understanding with the establishment.
She said that PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif suspended Rana Mashhood’s party membership after his controversial statement.
She added that the PML-N has constituted a three-member committee comprising Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Ayaz Sadiq and Rana Tanveer to probe Mashhood’s statement.
The committee will submit a report with its recommendations within two weeks, she added.
“A decision regarding Mashhood will be taken based on the committee’s inquiry report,” she added.
Rana Mashood had claimed that an understanding has reached between the Shahbaz led PML-N and establishment. He had claimed that the PML-N would form government in Punjab as the situation would change within two months.
