Hina Arshad Warraich of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured a decisive win in the PP-52 by-election. According to unofficial and early results from all 185 polling stations, she bagged 78,419 votes.
Her closest rival was Fakhar Nishat Ghumman. He was backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Ghumman managed to get 40,037 votes, placing him in second position.
Warraich called the result a victory for Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision. She praised the tireless efforts of PML-N workers throughout the PP-52 by-election campaign.
In her statement after the win, she said the people have rejected empty slogans. “They voted for progress, service, and real solutions,” she added.
The PML-N candidate promised that solving local problems will remain her top focus. She also vowed to push forward with development projects in the region.
