LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has ended seat adjustment with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the upcoming general elections over differences.
According to the official statement of Muslim League-Q, President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain chaired a hurriedly meeting of the party and announced ending the decision of seat adjustment with PML-N.
He lamented that the PML-N has given tickets to its candidates against our contestants. “We will not let our candidates suffer due to the double standard of the PML-N,” he added.
Shujaat said that Pakistan Muslim League-Q has always played its role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan and its people and it would continue to do so.
He ruled that he does not want seat adjustment with the PML-N restricted only to his seat.
“Nawaz League has issued tickets to its candidates against our candidates. We cannot tolerate this double standard of the PML-N meted out to our candidates and the party chief and other leaders have decided to end our electoral understanding with the Nawaz League.”
Former federal minister and PML-Q Senior Vice President Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that the PML-N has issued tickets to its candidates against him and his brother Chaudhry Shafey Hussain from Gujarat as well.
He said that the PML-Q is ready to contest elections without seat adjustments.
