LAHORE: The Embassy of the Republic of Poland on Thursday organized an event titled “Polish Water Technologies” as part of the Pak Water & Energy Expo in Lahore.
The event attracted a substantial audience, uniting representatives from prominent Polish companies and esteemed Pakistani experts well-versed in water management and environmental issues.
Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Pakistan, Maciej Pisarski, commenced the event with an informative overview of the participating Polish companies and delved into the persistent water-related challenges faced by both nations, including issues like flooding and water pollution. Ambassador Pisarski underscored the potential for Polish firms to introduce groundbreaking solutions into Pakistan’s water infrastructure and systems.
Prominent Polish companies, including Symbiona, Pietrucha, Meliorex, and Nanoseen, took an active role in the discussions, sharing their profound insights regarding Pakistan’s water conditions and the potential implications for the environment.
The event featured distinguished guest speakers who offered invaluable perspectives on the current water landscape in Pakistan. Water and Climate Governance Specialist Dr. Fazilda Nabeel, Dr. Azeem Ali Shah from the International Water Management Institute, and Mr. Syed Zahid Aziz, CEO of AAB-E-PAK Authority, all provided thought-provoking insights into the country’s water challenges and explored the transformative possibilities offered by Polish technologies in revolutionizing Pakistan’s water industry.
