LAKI MARWAT: A tragedy struck on Sunday when unidentified assailants opened fire on a police mobile in Lakki Marawt, resulting in the martyrdom of Police Constable Nisar Khan. The attack on the Bargi Police Station mobile van also left two other police officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO), injured.
The perpetrators fled the scene, escaping capture. A swift response from the police saw a heavy contingent deployed to the area, which was cordoned off and searched. However, no arrests had been made at the time of reporting.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern about the safety of law enforcement personnel in the region.
An investigation is likely to follow to bring the perpetrators to justice.
