Police foils terror bid in Peshawar, defuses 2kg bomb

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar police on Thursday thwarted a major terror bid after defusing a bomb at a bus terminal in the city. 
According to police, police recovered a 2 kg bomb fixed at the bus terminal in Peshawar. After recovering, police called bomb disposal squad (BDS). The BDS personnel defused the bomb successfully. 
 Meanwhile, the counter terrorism department (CTD) conducted raids in Mithra area on the outskirts of Peshawar and arrested a terrorist. Three missiles, 4 mortars, 3 hand grenades and weapons were recovered from the possession of the accused.
