One killed, two injured in firing incident in Peshawar

KARACHI: A police officer was shot dead after unidentified assailants opened fire in Karachi’s Orangi Town on Monday.
The policeman has been identified as ASI Rizwan. “Rizwan lived in Orangi Town 3. He was on his way for his duty when he was ambushed, said the police.
ASI Rizwan was posted at the Iqbal Market police station.
The police say they found two casings of 9mm bullets at the site of the attack.
Sindh Inspector General Dr Kaleem Imam has directed the District West SSP to submit a report on the attack as soon as possible.
On March 2, police constable Jahangir, 28, was gunned down in Hijrat Colony.
Jahangir was deputed on an intelligence assignment at the Civil Lines police station. He and some other policemen were in the area for surveillance purposes before a combing operation was launched in the area, according to South SSP Pir Mohammed Shah.
