KARACHI: Saeed Ghani, a leader from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of receiving foreign funding. He claimed there is proof that PTI takes money from outside Pakistan. Ghani said, “People living abroad are controlling PTI’s politics.”
Ghani added that PTI is supported by countries that do not want Pakistan to progress. “PTI aims to create chaos in the country,” he stated. He mentioned that resolutions in America support PTI, unlike those for Kashmir or Palestine.
A JUI leader also criticized PTI, saying that Imran Khan is making secret deals. Ghani noted that despite causing disorder, PTI continues to receive backing from unknown sources. He mentioned that PTI leaders and workers might get bail after the recent Islamabad incident.
Talking about Pakistan’s political situation, Ghani said there are always disagreements between parties. “The federal government wants to build canals, but the PPP has concerns,” he explained. He also said that PPP disagrees with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on the canal issue.
Ghani emphasized that PTI’s foreign funding is a major issue. He believes that outside influence is undermining Pakistan’s stability. The PPP leader called for transparency and accountability regarding PTI’s financial sources.
