ISLAMABAD: The Sindh assembly has been designated as the polling station for the presidential elections. The Election Commission has taken charge of the assembly building, where polling will take place from 10 am to 4 pm. Each vote in the Sindh assembly will count for 2.5 seats.
The Sindh assembly comprises 162 members, including 116 from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), 36 from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), one from Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and nine independents supported by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In addition, the Punjab assembly has received the ballot box and other necessary equipment for the presidential election. Election Commission officials have arrived at the assembly to oversee the process.
Furthermore, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly hall has been designated as another polling station. Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, Muhammad Ibrahim, will serve as the presiding officer. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, with 118 members, and the Balochistan assembly, with 64 members, will both participate in the presidential elections, with special arrangements made in their respective assemblies.
