ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has begun a multi-phase process to deactivate mobile SIM cards that are not in compliance with regulations.
The initiative aims to ensure that all SIM cards are registered with valid and up-to-date identification information. The PTA is collaborating with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to verify the data.
Users with affected SIM cards have been notified and advised to update their information to avoid disruption of service. The PTA’s goal is to maintain the integrity of the mobile network and prevent fraudulent activities.
