Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to revoke Muhammad Afzal Khan’s ticket for the upcoming by-elections in the PP-93 Bhakar constituency.
Hammad Azhar, a prominent figure within PTI, addressed the cancellation, citing the significant backlash on social media as the primary reason.
Azhar explained that while initially, the decision to grant the ticket to Afzal was influenced by local leaders and the party leadership’s insistence, a shift in public sentiment prompted PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, to reconsider.
Consequently, Imran Khan has empowered the party to select a new candidate for the by-election within the PP-93 Bhakar constituency, acknowledging the evolving collective opinion.
