ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee, chaired by Barrister Gohar, on Monday discussed various issues including an alliance with Jwith Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), party cases in courts and other matters.
Among the key topics discussed was the proposal for Umar Ayub’s resignation as General Secretary, which was opposed by committee members who recognized his dedicated service during challenging periods for the party.
The meeting also focused on the upcoming talks with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), with the committee expressing its endorsement for engaging in discussions at the committee level.
This decision comes in response to implied criticism from JUI leaders directed at Ali Amin Gandapur, a matter thoroughly reviewed during the session.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar will convey the committee’s recommendations to the party’s leadership in an upcoming meeting. The PTI core committee underscored the importance of unity and strategic dialogue in effectively navigating current political dynamics.
