PESAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the highly anticipated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insafe (PTI) public rally in Islamabad on August 22.
Attendees included national and provincial assembly members, as well as divisional party leaders in a separate meeting. CM Gandapur urged party leaders to mobilize a large turnout, emphasizing the importance of bringing face masks to ensure a peaceful event. He declared, “The time has come to hold the government accountable for its injustices against us.”
Gandapur announced that transportation for the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) would be provided by the party and instructed workers to assemble at Swabi by 2 pm, from where he would lead the procession to Islamabad.
A separate meeting of the PTI’s central leadership was held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, attended virtually by Information Secretary Rauf Hassan and Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan, to review rally preparations. PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram and party lawyers also participated in the meeting
