PTI to approach ECP over Imran’s participation in election campaign

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to approach the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding Imran Khan’s participation in party’s by-poll campaign for National Assembly constituencies NA-122 and NA-254.
Under the ECP code of conduct MPs are not allowed to canvass in the constituencies, where by-poll is held. However, Imran Khan is of the view that he is the party chairman and it is his responsibility to convey and propagate the party’s manifesto.
Addressing party workers today (Sunday) , PTI chairman Imran Khan said in the upcoming by-polls, his candidates would defeat those who stole mandate.
In a video message in connection with by-poll in NA-122, the former cricket hero said PTI candidate Abdul Aleem Khan belongs to middle class and achieved his position though hard work.
He urged PTI workers not to repeat mistakes that it committed in the past during elections.
