PTI Wins Six Senate Seats in KP Amid Unofficial Results

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken the lead by winning six out of eleven Senate seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These are unofficial and unconfirmed results from the provincial assembly election.

All 145 members of the KP Assembly exercised their right to vote. Polling has ended, and counting is in progress. Early results show PTI candidates dominating on general, technocrat, and women’s categories.

Among the victorious PTI members, Murad Saeed secured a general seat with 26 votes. Faisal Javed followed with 22 votes, and Noorul Haq Qadri clinched another general seat with 21 votes. On the women’s quota, Rubina Naz of PTI achieved success with a sweeping 89 votes. Mirza Afridi earned another general seat, also with 21 votes. PTI’s Azam Swati won the technocrat seat.

Opposition parties managed to capture some ground. Pakistan Peoples Party’s Rubina Khalid triumphed in the women’s category. Talha Mahmood claimed a general seat, while JUI-F’s Dilawar Khan secured the technocrat slot. Ataul Haq Darvesh added another general seat to JUI-F’s tally.

These early outcomes mark a major victory for PTI in the Senate elections, with the party increasing its representation through key Senate seats. The results highlight PTI’s continuing dominance in the KP Assembly, reaffirming its strong support base in the province.
