Governance Amid Chaos
The provincial administration has failed to maintain peace and order. Recent reports highlight horrifying incidents, such as a helicopter carrying a government delegation being targeted, and tribal disputes claiming over 40 lives with no resolution in sight. In areas like South Waziristan, frequent terror attacks have become a grim reality, reflecting the government’s weakened control over the region.
Instead of prioritizing provincial stability, the PTI leadership, including the chief minister, is busy strategizing for political protests. This disregard for public welfare has intensified citizens’ frustrations, as their safety and livelihoods are continuously jeopardized.
The Toll of Neglect
Under PTI’s rule, law enforcement in KP has crumbled. Frequent terrorist incidents, such as the recent attacks in Bannu and Kalat, reveal the administration’s inability to counter growing extremism. The lack of infrastructure development and proper dispute resolution mechanisms further fuels unrest, particularly in tribal areas. Promises of reforms post-merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into KP remain unfulfilled, deepening discontent among the people.

PTI’s focus on political theatrics rather than governance is evident. As the party gears up for a sit-in in Islamabad, critics, including opposition leaders, have questioned the ethics of abandoning provincial duties during such crises. Many argue that the protest is a tactic to divert attention from governance failures and to revive political momentum after diminishing public support.
