PESHAWAR: The first meeting of newly elected MPAs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hailing from PTI has been convened today.
Taking place at the Speaker House in Peshawar, the meeting will be chaired by Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI’s nominee for the esteemed position of chief minister.
All recently elected MPAs have been instructed to convene at 2 PM for the session, where discussions will encompass government formation and the prevailing political landscape.
Ali Amin Gandapur has been actively engaged in Peshawar for several days, strategizing on government formation and charting the province’s future course.
In parallel, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notifications for successful candidates from 36 National Assembly constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Among the victors are Sher Afzal Marwat from NA-41 in Lakki Marwat and Shehryar Afridi from NA-35 in Kohat.
Notifications have also been released for Asad Qaisar and Shehram Khan Tarakai from Swabi’s NA-19 and NA-20 respectively.
Further victories include Shahdana Gulzar from NA-30 in Peshawar, Sher Ali Arbab from NA-31, and Hameed Hussain of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) from NA-37 in Kurram.
However, the election in NA-8 has been postponed, and notifications for NA-15, NA-27, NA-40, and NA-43 constituencies in KP are still pending release by the ECP.
