Punjab Class 8 Results Announced, 88% Students Pass

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced the Class 8 examination results, with an overall pass percentage of 88%.

Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat formally launched the online results portal. Students can check their results on the official website.

According to officials, nearly 100,000 students appeared in the examinations this year. The results have been prepared within a record 30 days.

The minister said that, for the first time in Pakistan, machine-based marking technology was used to ensure transparency in paper checking. He added that artificial intelligence (AI) was introduced to improve accuracy and fairness.

He further said that the same system will also be implemented in Matric and Intermediate examinations.

The Class 8 board-style exams have been restored after a long gap. Authorities said the move aims to improve the assessment system and academic performance of students.

Officials also introduced QR codes on exam papers to ensure full tracking and transparency in the examination process.

Meanwhile, the Punjab chief minister congratulated successful students through a message on social media and appreciated their hard work.
