LAHORE: In response to the alarming rise in smog levels, the Punjab government has declared a three-month holiday for students of special schools.
The Environment Department issued a notification on Thursday stating that all government and private special education institutions will remain closed from November 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.

To ensure that students continue their education during this period, the government has directed these institutions to arrange online classes to cover the syllabus. The decision comes as a measure to protect students from the adverse effects of continuous smog in the provincial capital.
