LAHORE: Secretary Health Punjab Ali Jan Khan on Friday said that at least 203 new cases of dengue have been reported in the province.
As per the provincial health department, the total number of dengue cases reported in Punjab this year has reached 8,726.
Ali Jan Khan specified that Lahore recorded 89 new cases, Gujranwala 32, Rawalpindi 30, and Multan 25 in the latest update. He further detailed, “On Thursday, Faisalabad reported 12 dengue patients, while Kasur had four, and Sheikhupura and Hafizabad each reported two.”
Additionally, single new cases were reported in Attock, Khanewal, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahib, Toba Tek Singh, and Layyah, according to Ali Jan.
As of now, 169 dengue patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals across Punjab.
