LAHORE: Punjab University has postponed all exams due to worsening smog conditions in Lahore. The Punjab government announced a three-day lockdown in Lahore and Multan, closing all schools, colleges, and universities.
In line with provincial guidelines, institutions will conduct classes online to maintain academic progress. Punjab University officials stated that new exam dates would be announced later.
Meanwhile, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has also directed universities and colleges in Lahore and Multan to shift to online classes to safeguard students’ health. An official notification confirmed that schools across Punjab, except Murree, will remain closed until November 24.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has also intensified its crackdown, sealing over 90 properties for illegal commercial activities as part of efforts to curb environmental pollution.
