Lahore: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has confirmed a forecast of rainfall across several divisions of Punjab, while heavy snowfall is expected in hilly regions over the coming days.
According to PDMA, rain is likely in Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur divisions. The report states that the weather will remain generally cold and dry, with intermittent rain in various cities and snowfall in mountainous areas.
PDMA Punjab has directed all concerned departments to remain on high alert and ensure preventive measures to deal with any potential emergencies, including urban flooding, landslides, or other weather-related incidents. Special instructions have been issued to the district administration in Murree to stay fully vigilant due to the risk of heavy snowfall.
The Director General PDMA Punjab has urged the public to stay updated with the latest weather advisories, avoid unnecessary travel, and adopt precautionary measures to prevent any loss of life or property.
