The government has appointed Rao Abdul Karim as the new Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, and an official notification has also been issued.
Meanwhile, Captain (retd) Usman Anwar has been appointed as Director General of the FIA, while the current DG FIA, Rifat Mukhtar, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Sources said the Punjab government had sent three names to the federal government for the post of IG Punjab last night, including Wasim Sial, Bilal Kaimiana and Rao Abdul Karim.
