The District and Session Court Islamabad declined the request to extend the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary Information Raoof Hassan.
Following a two-day extension of his physical remand, Raoof was presented before Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti.
FIA Prosecutor Sheikh Amir argued that a technical report had been received indicating that the accused were interconnected. He requested a further five-day extension of physical remand.
In response, defense counsel Barrister Ali Zafar contended that Raoof had already been in physical remand for seven days. He informed the Judicial Magistrate that Raoof was unwell and requested a medical examination.
Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti denied the extension request and remanded Raoof to judicial custody. Duty Judge Mureed Abbas granted the FIA physical custody of Raoof Hassan for two days starting Sunday.
