LAHORE: The governments of Punjab and Sindh have officially announced revised school timings for both private and public institutions during the holy month of Ramazan. The adjusted schedules aim to accommodate students and staff observing fasting.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department, single-shift schools will operate from Monday to Thursday between 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM, while on Fridays, they will close at 12:30 PM.
For double-shift schools, the morning shift will run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the second shift will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, the second shift will start at 2:30 PM and end at 4:00 PM.
In Sindh, single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. For double-shift schools, the morning session will run from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the afternoon session from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM. On Fridays, the morning session will be from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, while the afternoon shift will end at 1:15 PM.
School administrations across both provinces have been instructed to implement these revised schedules from the beginning of Ramazan.
