BANNU: A Tragedy struck in Bannu district when a lightning strike caused a rooftop collapse, claiming the lives of two women.
The incident occurred in the Khorgai Mosikhel area of tehsil Domel during a rainstorm, according to local officials. Seven others were injured in the disaster and were rushed to Khalifa Gul Nawaz hospital in Bannu for medical treatment.
In a separate incident, heavy rainfall in Azad Kashmir’s Bhimber and Samahini areas caused flooding in low-lying areas, overflowing local drains and nullahs. The local administration has issued a cautionary warning to nearby residents in Bhimber to exercise vigilance during the flooding.
