Russia accuses France UK Ukraine nuclear weapons plot

Russia accuses France UK Ukraine nuclear weapons

MOSCOW: Russia accuses France UK Ukraine nuclear weapons transfer attempt in a serious new allegation issued by Moscow’s foreign intelligence service.

Russia claims that France and the United Kingdom are trying to help Ukraine obtain nuclear weapon components to improve Kyiv’s position in negotiations with Moscow.

According to Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Paris and London are allegedly working on transferring parts of small nuclear devices, identified as TN-75, to Ukraine.

Russian officials said the aim is to create the impression that Ukraine developed the weapons independently. They claimed this would allow France and the UK to avoid accusations of nuclear proliferation.

The agency further alleged that Germany refused to join what it described as a “dirty game.

There was no immediate reaction from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, or Ukraine regarding the claims.

The accusations come amid rising tensions in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and increasing geopolitical pressure in Europe.
