RIYADH: Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is on Middle East Trip, met with Saudi Arabia Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at Al Yamamah Palace, said a Saudi Press Agency.
They engaged in a comprehensive meeting with their respective delegations. The Crown Prince highlighted the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Russia, emphasizing Russia’s role as the first nation to recognize the Kingdom after the establishment of the third Saudi state.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince commended the collaborative achievements in energy, trade, agriculture, investment, and other fields over the past 7 years. He praised the political coordination between the two nations, contributing to easing tensions in the Middle East and enhancing future political and security cooperation for the region’s and the world’s security.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, President Putin acknowledged the depth of friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia. He anticipated meeting the Crown Prince in Moscow and emphasized the Soviet Union’s historical recognition of the Kingdom. President Putin highlighted the solid cooperation in politics and the economy and thanked the Crown Prince for the invitation.
The leaders held a bilateral meeting to discuss common concerns, and President Putin and his delegation departed Riyadh after concluding their visit to Saudi Arabia.
