Sardar Yousuf Renews Demand for Hazara Province

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf has once again raised his voice for the creation of a Hazara province. Speaking in an interview with a Private TV on Tuesday, he said that establishing new administrative units is now a pressing necessity.

The minister argued that a separate Hazara province would ensure better governance and deliver solutions to the challenges faced by local communities. He stressed that dividing large provinces into smaller units would bring government closer to the people and make administration more effective.

Sardar Yousuf also reminded that the demand for a Hazara province was part of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election manifesto. He emphasized that his party recognized the importance of this step and included it as a priority for future governance.

Commenting on parliamentary developments, the minister spoke about the resignations of opposition members from standing committees. He cautioned that such moves could politically damage the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Instead of walking away, he urged opposition lawmakers to continue fulfilling their duties in the assemblies. According to him, proper legislative oversight and accountability are only possible if elected members remain active in their roles.

For Sardar Yousuf, the idea of a Hazara province is not just a regional demand but a matter of national governance reform. He believes that additional provinces across the country could pave the way for balanced development and stronger institutions.
