SC takes notice of CAA head using a PIA plane for a private tour

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nasir took notice of media reports of the Civil Aviation Authority director general using a PIA plane for a private tour of Nanga Parbat and has fixed the matter for hearing.
The chief justice will hear the case on July 22 at the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had issued notices to PIA and the CAA over reports that the CAA head took a group of friends for a special tour of Nanga Parbat on a PIA plane, leaving passengers stranded at the Skardu Airport.
However, the court rejected the initial reports submitted by the PIA CEO and CAA DG.
