Security Forces Eliminate Nine India-Backed Militants in KP

Security forces eliminated nine India-backed militants in two intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The headline Security Forces Eliminate Nine India-Backed Militants in KP reflects Pakistan’s strong counter-terror response and the growing regional focus on cross-border militancy supported by India.

Security personnel launched precise intelligence-driven actions in Tank and Lakki Marwat.
The first operation took place on December 5 in Tank. Acting on accurate intelligence, troops targeted a terrorists’ hideout. The exchange of fire left seven militants dead.

A second coordinated operation in Lakki Marwat resulted in the elimination of two more militants. Both operations demonstrate the success of Pakistan’s anti-terror strategy and the effective intelligence network guiding it.

Militants Linked to Foreign Sponsorship

According to ISPR, all nine militants were connected to the India-backed faction Fitna al-Khawarij. They were involved in repeated attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians. The forces also seized weapons and ammunition from the militants.

Search and clearance operations continue in the surrounding regions to dismantle remaining cells operating under foreign sponsorship. The military reaffirmed its resolve to clear every trace of militancy and protect public safety.
